Flexible Graphite Composite Gasket

Product Description

Pure graphite gasket

Graphite is a kind of crystalline carbon. Hexagonal crystal system, from iron ink to dark gray. The density is 2.25 g/cm3(Usually the highest density of industrial products is 1.98g/cm3), the hardness is 1.5, the melting point is 3652°C, and the boiling point is 4827°C. Soft, slippery, conductive. It is chemically inactive, resistant to corrosion, and hard to react with acids and alkalis. Enhancing heat in air or oxygen can burn and generate carbon dioxide. Strong oxidants will oxidize it to organic acids. Used as anti-friction agent and lubricating material, making crucibles, electrodes, dry batteries, pencil cores. High-purity graphite can be used as a neutron moderator in nuclear reactors. It is often called charcoal or black lead because it was previously mistaken for lead.

Pure graphite gasket is are made of expanded graphite of high purity, without binder. They resist to temperatures up to 1202°F (650°C). These rings have a very good chemical inertia and a high thermal conductivity. They contain a corrosion inhibitor which guarantees the integrity of the materials. This passive inhibitor constructs a protective coating between the components of valve and the graphite rings, preventing contact between the two electricity generators materials, and therefore the corrosion. This inhibitor ensures long-term protection of your equipments.

Feature data

High temperature resistance: Graphite is one of the known high temperature resistant materials. It has a melting point of 3850°C+50°C and a boiling point of 4250°C. It is 10S under the ultra-high temperature arc of 7000°C, and the graphite loss is small, and the graphite loss is 0.8% by weight. It can be seen that the high temperature properties of graphite are very prominent.

Special thermal shock resistance: graphite has good thermal shock resistance, that is, when the temperature suddenly changes, the coefficient of thermal expansion is small, so it has good thermal stability, and will not crack when the temperature changes rapidly.

Thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity: Graphite has good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity. Compared with ordinary materials, its thermal conductivity is quite high. It is 4 times higher than stainless steel, 2 times higher than carbon steel, and 100 times higher than ordinary non-metals.

Reinforced graphite gasket sheets are commonly used in various industrial applications due to their excellent thermal and chemical resistance properties.

Reinforced graphite gasket sheets are circular components made from compressed graphite materials. They are typically used for sealing applications in pumps, valves, and other rotating equipment. The flexibility and self-lubricating properties of graphite rings allow them to create a tight seal, preventing leakage of fluids or gases.

Reinforced graphite gasket sheets choose the proper grade of graphite for the mold based on factors such as temperature resistance, hardness, and conductivity.

Whether you need a specific shape, size, or design, we can produce high-quality graphite molds tailored to your requirements.
